Rick Vines
CEO
Rick’s career in IT began in the days before the PC was released. Rick founded Midwest Computer Peripherals in 1979. The company was one of the first entries in the mail order computer business nationwide. Rick sold Midwest Computer in 1993 and Rick continued his career in Senior Positions at Sentinel Technologies, The Revere Group and Wordlink.
Rick started Axcell in 1998 and is has been heavily involved in a variety of Industry organizations including Comptia, Heartland Technology Group and Vistage. Outside interests include Music, Tennis, and travel
Ali Anderson
CFO
Ali holds her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting from California State University, Sacramento. Ali has over 20 years in technology firms holding positions such as accounting manager, sales controller, Director and VP Finance.
Barry Saltzman
Business Development
Barry has been responsible for Global Sales, P&L, Business Development, Closing Multi Million dollar transactions, leading and managing Complex Project Teams, Service Delivery, Service and Sales Operations and Customer Relationships. During Barry’s career he has succeeded in a major financial turnaround of a $60 million dollar privately held business, grew revenue from $35 million to over $200 million for a large IT services business, managed a $535 million dollar P&L with over 1500 technical and sales employees for a large services division of a public company and taken a leadership sales role in closing global deals valued at over $25 million dollars.
Rex Frank
Director – Operations
Rex has over 22 years industry experience in IT Service Delivery and over 17 years specializing in delivering Managed IT Services. Rex was an inaugural member of the True Profits! Service Executive peer group where he learned to be accountable for service financial metrics, documenting and implementing Managed Services best practices policy and procedure and how to focus his time working “ON” Service Delivery rather than “IN” Service Delivery.
Jerry Marlow
Senior Consultant
Jerry was the former Principal of Advanced Business Computer Solutions which was acquired by Axcell in 2008. Prior to that, Jerry held senior technical positions with Quaker Oats, BusinessLand, Kraft General Foods, Entex and ABN AMRO. Jerry is the former Co-Chair of the IT division of the Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals. Outside interests include Bowling, building renovation, camping & fishing, and family.
Dan Stephans
Senior Consultant
Dan graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Architectural Studies. As a Senior Consultant for Axcell, Dan has been instrumental in creative design approaches to multi-vendor client solutions from Dell, Sonicwall, Citrix and Microsoft. Outside interests include keeping his lively Border collie occupied, DIY home renovation and rooting for the Chicago Bears.
